Recall Standardisation
What is a standardisation trial?
In a standardisation trial, a representative sample of UK students sit an assessment with new content. The resulting data provides the reference sample against which future test-takers are compared.
Why is this content being developed?
We are currently trialling our new and improved Recall assessment. Recall assesses the fundamental functions of working memory and processing speed using three sub-tests: Phonological loop – a word recall test, Visuo-spatial sketchpad – a pattern recall test, and Central executive function – a counting recall test. This update will modernize and improve the test-taking experience for students.
What is involved in the standardisation?
Schools with students in year 11 (Scottish S4 and Northern Irish Y12) are invited to participate in a digital trial where students will take our new Recall assessment. Results from this trial will be analyzed alongside our standardisation trial that took place in the spring term and will form the norm against which future test-takers are compared.
The trialing window is now open! Register to take part.
Upload a pupil data template for scoring and reporting purposes.
Administer the digital tests at any time during the trialing window. The trial is timed and takes 10 minutes to complete with additional setup time.
You will receive pupil reports after the trialing window has closed.
